Nahaniya FowlerMy name is Nahaniya Fowler, I am from Lawrenceburg TN, but now reside in Montana. I have always had a huge interest in Psychology. From an early age I have always been fascinated with people, how they operate and why. I am very intrigued by the biological and environmental factors that help to create individuals. Particularly the neurological make up of an individual and how that affects their interaction with the world. With the knowledge and experience I acquire throughout my life and academic career I intend to positively add to the world and help to make it a better place. By understanding the economic, biological and environmental factors that contribute to the making of an individual, I can use that knowledge to conduct research to better aid and understand individuals and make the human experience at least a little bit more enjoyable.
Outside of my academic pursuits I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, petting cats, crochet, sitting in nature, photography, fishing, enjoying and experiencing new genres of music. I plan to continue my academic career in graduate school with an emphasis on behavioral psychology and biopsychology. |

Hello! My name is Kaia Wobig. I was born and raised in Colorado and found myself in beautiful Durango for my Undergraduate. I am currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Biology with a concentration in Wildlife and certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I am always interested in learning new things and traveling to new places. I am interested in improving the world around us and have found that when we open our minds to new places and experiences, we can gain a greater understanding of the world around us. With new understanding and education, growth follows. Outside of my academic interests I enjoy reading, researching, paddleboarding, traveling, and spending time outdoors. In the future I hope to work more with renewable energy and combine my education in biology and mapping to help provide environmental, economic, and social advantages. I was drawn to the Social Ethology Lab by the passionate and diverse community of students and the shared curiosity of animals and their behavior

My name is Sullivan McGarvey; I am from Conifer, Colorado. I'm majoring in Pre-Med and derive profound felicity from Philosophy, Physics, Sociology, Anthropology, and Chemistry. I will work in the medical industry with a particular interest in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, Neurofeedback, and Neurology.
I love to help other people and strive to make the world a better place. The worsening and ever-present mental health crisis is of utmost interest to me. The convergence of disciplines, historical teachings, and the discovery of underlying systemic issues allow me to pursue many of my passions on the frontier where cooperation and ambition thrive. I was drawn to the Social Ethology Lab by its exceptional student-run embodiment of a community with differing interests and values that all share the goal of furthering understanding and comprehension of animal behavior within the scientific community and beyond. There is much to learn from our furry, scaly, winged, and aquatic cousins. Outside academia, I enjoy skiing, skateboarding, spending time in nature, writing, reading, traveling, playing guitar, and learning new languages. |
Hello! My name is Emelie deKay, and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at Fort Lewis College. I grew up in the beautiful mountain town of Silverton, Colorado, which helped foster my love for the outdoors. I am a very social person, and I thrive when working with others. After earning my undergraduate degree, my goal is to continue my academic journey by obtaining a master’s degree, and eventually, I hope to earn a PhD. I’m passionate about understanding human behavior and contributing to the field of psychology through research and practice.
