Opportunities for FLC Students

When we say "transdisciplinary" we mean it! All years and majors are welcome to apply.

We can offer valuable research experience, opportunities to present your work at academic conferences (& maybe even publish it!), and course credit as appropriate, as well as a supportive and enthusiastic community dedicated to helping advance your career.

Opportunities for High/Middle School Students

We would love to introduce you to the world of professional behavioral biology! If you think a career with animal (human and nonhuman) behavior or wildlife science might be for you, please be in touch and we can find the right amount of involvement for your schedule and readiness to commit.

Note: Durango/Animas High School Students in particular – this would look great on a college application, but we hope you’ll stay for the fun/really interesting animals.

Opportunities for Elementary School Students

We are thrilled to support young scientists and aspiring wildlife experts of all stripes (& spots). If you (or your student or child) might be interested in getting age-appropriate, hands-on research experience, or just in visiting for a day in the lab/field, please reach out! There's no such thing as too young to do science!
