Mission and Values

We wouldn't be here without:

D
             Respect | Integrity | Curiosity

Our lab is an inclusive space. Each member is recognized as a human with human needs, strengths, and vulnerabilities. We will do our best science if we meet those needs, play to those strengths, and defend those vulnerabilities. We are here for the animals we study and for one another.

We will not tolerate disrespect, persecution, or harm to any lab member or creature in our care.

To be a member of our lab you are expected to be honest. The integrity of our data is our bottom line. Your science is only as good as it is accurate, and our lab is only as good as the science we produce. We ensure absolute data transparency at all stages of each project.

We are each responsible for delivering on our commitment to science and to the animals we use in our work.

Our lab does not, and will never, have a GPA requirement to be a member (subordinate to any existing school policies). Our only requirements are listed above, as well as a sincere curiosity for the natural world.

We believe that research is me-search, and that by following your passions you will deliver the best science.
